Area needs your vote. Now.

I quite simply cannot vote...

I've only ever heard Area's Arbeit Macht Frei and two Gong albums.

I really must sort that out. LOLEmbarrassed

But my pwning of Dahlia and David depends on your vote! Cry

Please? EmbarrassedWink

Can I vote for Picchio dal Pozzo instead? LOL

As long as Picchio dal Pozzo = Area, then sure. LOL

Erm no.

Picchio dal Pozzo = Italian
Area = Italian

Picchio dal Pozzo <>= Area

Therefore I vote for Nucleus.

I still need to hear that...

Neil Sedaka.

LOL

No idea, Pat.

Although you should try and get some Olivier Messiaen music... especially Quatuor pour la fin du temps which is full of Cowisms... or rather Henry Cow are full of Messiaenisms.

Well, this post mentions Messiaen and Henry Cow.
I don't have any Messiaen.
Henry Cow it is.

Too predictable.

Oh, I forgot to PM you with some links... unless Dahlia has forwarded them on?

Last thing she sent me was regarding Nucleus.

I'll forward them on in a bit then... these are Cow-related. Wink

That?  He's a Him.

And Dahlia has the exact same Messiaen album I have.

Mine's on CD, as all music should be... apart from vinyl, obviously. Wink

Ah, excellent.

The thing is, I've yet to hear any of it myself. LOLEmbarrassedConfused

So Dahlia's likely got in before me... but you know... she loves bassoon, so she'll love it. Big%20smile

No, I meant that album. I'm pretty sure Dahlia gave it to me but I haven't heard it yet.

Probably all of them. But I was referring to Messiaen, since that's what you mentioned earlier.

I went on from Messiaen to Cooper. LOL

I'll ask her later, if she's about.

Oh, okay. I'm not sure if she's heard Cooper yet then.

She has her first day of school today. If she is about, it'll probably be much later tonight. I have my doubts though; I'm not expecting anything.

NatSci has mail.

He does.

I'm an Area fan but I cannot judge them on an album I've only heard once... plus I've only heard two Gong albums... oh wait, no, I've only heard one GonG album and I have You on CD but need to listen to the whole trilogy in one sitting, even though they're apparently quite different.

If memory serves, The Pothead Pixies was quite weird though...

Yeah, it is quite weird, but the trilogy is easily their best albums. My favorite by far is You though. That album is instrumentally amazing.

I simply need Area to win at least once in order to rub it in their faces. Tongue

I don't suppose some wants to look through my harddrive for these two Lindsday Cooper albums I supposedly have?  I cannot find them!

Area just seems to have a more consistent excellence than Gong, this is based on me having the first four Area studio releases and Are(A)zione, and I have the Gong trilogy as well as Gazeuse!

Like I said in the poll, though, I think You is better than any Area album.

I'll have to listen to some Gong today.  Tongue
