Not sure what to think of this. There's certainly a clear bit of metal in there, but they also manage to create quite a bit of a heavy symphonic feel. It's definitely prog metal, and the various sections of Sfere Incomplete form a great epic.

Relistening. I suddenly here some Dream Theater and Iron Maiden influences, but at the same time I'm not sure all of the band's music classifies as metal (although L'albero dell'Iraq that is playing at this very moment certainly is). There's a tendency toward heavy prog rather than metal in Scelta.

Still, not sure if they qualify as prog (going to revisit the definition some time), and if they do, I'm not sure if they are fully prog metal.

Any other opinions are welcome - and my views may change as I hear more.

^^ for me Angelo, I personally think it is Prog....Ermm

it's essentially a kind of experimental Heavy Prog, with some metal qualities to it, but just not enough of a grinding rhythm section to be considered as such...but I would suggest them for the Heavy prog team, if they were to be added...Smile

anyway Andrea, many thanks for sending us your music; its greatly appreciated, and we wish you and the band well with a possible future album release...Clap

Music has always been a matter of energy to me. On some nights I believe that a car with the needle on empty can run 50 more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio. Hunter S Thompson

Thanks for that, Jared. I'm always in doubt about Prog Metal - hence the remark. Glad we both think there's a big heavy prog touch to it. No album yet, so no action regarding inclusion needed, but (if I interpret it correctly with my poor knowledge of Italian) they seem to have won some sort of 'battle of the bands', so that may change in the not too distant future...
