No.
Can you:

Yes.

Yeah, not sh*t man, I can do all that. But my resume (damn it, missing pronunciation thingos) would be complete utter failure. Failed to finish high school, no previous job experience........

Well you're young and your "job" right now is to get into Penn.

He isn't.
Harry just doesn't believe in himself.

I never usually do anyway.

I'm not depressed; Penn's acceptance rate is just low.

Oh my self-esteem is sky-high, Patrick! I love the fact I'm in love with someone who's giving me nothing but strife, yet is so damned charming and lovely at the same time that I cannot help but fall for her even more. It's not fair.

I only have met two of the pre requisites, and all the dudes/chicks that work at the store are at in their late 20s at least, and have obviously got retail/customer service experience (as well as being able to play etc).
I've never been employed, ever. No chance of this job

have some confidence in yourself! what's the harm in applying then, if you get turned down, same result as not bothering.

I guess so. Hmm, I might offer basic music theory tuition to some friends soon , dunno if that counts as "customer service" though.

My parents tell me that since I'm only 18, if I find out that Finance isn't right for me after taking some Finance classes, then I'm still young enough to change my major. No doubt that you might as well try, Harry. What's the worst possible thing that could happen? You don't get the job.
|
I understand the whole "you don't get the job", but when you've had as much anxiety problems, paranoia, history of serious depression like I have, you have an intense fear of rejection some people never understand. I hate doing something unless I know I can perform and get the stuff done. I know, it's weird, I can stand up in front of hell, a thousand people and play guitar and feel fine, but I can't even bring myself to applying for a job, because I know sure as hell I wont get it.

Forget the written requirements and your perceived lack of "resume" - I know you know your sh*t when it comes to the guitar - not only how to play, but you're well versed in the various tech. The advice you dispense so easily around here and with (as it appears to me) a clear understanding of what you're talking about when it comes to guitars and amps - that's what this place is looking for! Go and convince them - "Look, you need guitars sold - I'll sell them. I know them inside and out, they're my life, I'll know what people need and how to match the customer to the right gear."
