Not sure if this is the right place, but:

Basically I play drums and bass in an avant band with two other friends of mine. We haven't really showcased any material yet on Myspace or anything, but this website features jam sessions with a very skilled guitarist from Portugal.

It's fusion/jam with a lot of funk influence coming from the guitarist. The quality isn't very good. But in the end, it became a sort of jazz fusion astralish/space band. So I advise that you don't really listen to this extremely seriously. Listen to that stuff as it passes by your head.

Walk On Glass - An improvised slow song, influenced by Pat Metheny. 8 mins (I advise you listen to it first)
Cosmic Stream - A composition I found on a keyboard. 15 mins.

Try to play avant prog alone on drums, and you will be hit on Myspace Cool

Let me tell you the story. One day the guitarist couldn't make it. So the trumpet player thought it would've been a good idea for me to lay off the drums and to do something that's Classic Piano - Bass - Reeds/Synth. He just said that so we could start something a "little soft" (because without the guitarist we would just be playing really LAME fusion).
So we jammed and the result was great. It was kinda RIO, a bit like Univers Zero, but a little less darker (but still pretty dark). The only rythm I used was just the Hi-hat. You could hear better as well because it wasn't as loud.

Whether  you guys like the jam sessions or not, I think you might prefer this.
So the next project is basically an Avant Trio, featuring the main members minus Vasco. :D

Oi. Of course not!
I was saying WE sucked at Fusion when we didn't have our guitarist with us.
