That was not a knowledge on being British but how well you read some book.

I doubt that for instance many people would have gotten that Saint's day question on 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire'!

Oh, and 8 correct including some guesswork.

America. Love the country, its history, its geography, its people, its government at its founding, its founders.

Because of these things I'm very disappointed with its present state.

EDIT: For kicks I did the brit citizenship test. I got a 6. Probably just a random fluctuation above the average score from pure guessing.

How are you more British than Rob and I? LOLEmbarrassed

Lots of bowler hats and cups of Earl Grey?

And lots of Avengers, The Man from U.N.C.L.E. and Dads Army episodes. LOL

Oh, I also like to discuss the Battle of Trafalgar over a nice glass of port.  Wink

Port is a Portuguese export... although they were set-up by Brits, of course.  Like some distant cousins of mine, the Fladgates.

Have a go yourself!

I have dual Canadian/UK citizenship ( through my parents ) A least the UK has standards for immigration. The prequisite for being Canadian is that you have to be a criminal or terrorist in your home country ( or both ) have absolutely no knowledge of either official language and be completely in the dark on Canadian customs, traditions and laws. In London it takes about about three years to become a cabbie and you have to know every alley, pub and underground station. Here in Montréal they radio in to headquarters for directions while the meter runs. I passed the test 10 right.

I'd be surprised if Lorely 'MP For Solihull' Burt knew the answers to more than 6 of them.

yeah (spoiler follows,
knowing what PG Tips was detracted from my score. I assumed that you'd need a lawyer to be competent rather than double-check the pricetag, but that's probably not the right one. The marriage question, well, I'm too young to need to know.

Same (spoiler also follows): I am also to young to know anything about divorce laws and I thought Father Christmas (who doesn't actually exist) is from Lapland... that's what I always thought.  I also thought The Victorians were a big part of the history of that legend too.  And yes, a price of a lawyer wouldn't be as important to me, to be fair.

I like my country.  I was born here and still haven't ventured outside its borders.  Hawaii is as close as I've gotten so far and I do so want to move there, but here I am stuck in Georgia.  But hey, the Atlanta area is a pretty cool place to be if you must live here.  The coastal portion of the state is nice.   Can't say I love my country and quite frankly do get embarrassed about some of the actions our leaders have done.
