I noticed that Annalist - Trial doesn't have a review yet and is missing from the list there... So I wrote a review so that there wouldn't be a need to add it

EDIT: The new Chrysalide album, Triptyque was not on the list either. It's reviewed now, so no need to add it there

EDIT2: I also wrote something for the Forgotten Silence - Kro-Ni-Ka -album, so you can remove it from the list.

EDIT3 & 4: I took the liberty of being the first to review Czeslaw Niemen - Suckes too, so, as usual, feel free to remove it from the list; Same goes for Aerolit now, by the same artist!

Instead of being the 300th+ person to review "Close to the edge", why not see which of the albums on the list you can help out with?!

I get a server time out on the above link. I would like to do my part. Is this still important?

Wow - just noticed from this list that Aunt Mary have two 'Best of' compilations.  Kind of hard to believe considering they only released four studio albums....

And the second one doesn't even have a track listing.

Well okay, I added a track listing.  But can one of the Admins please check out Aunt Mary's first album and the
4th one ('Whistpering Farewell')?  Based on the track listings, musicians and covers, these appear to be the
same album, just reissued.

[QUOTE=crimhead] [QUOTE=Easy Livin]

With the rapid expansion of the number of bands and albums included on the site, there are many albums which have not yet been reviewed.

This page http://www.progarchives.com/UnreviewedAlbums.asp contains a full list of all such albums.

Those who review these albums first will of course ensure that their reviews always appear at or near the top of the reviews for that album. It is also hoped that the first review of an album will soon be highlighted as such.

Instead of being the 300th+ person to review "Close to the edge", why not see which of the albums on the list you can help out with?! End QUOTE

I think this is a major issue. It is impressive to have a site that encompasses so many bands but if a large portion of these bands have no reviews......not good perception.

Perhaps those motivating their inclusions ( especially the new bands) should get onto their keyboards and contribute some reviews?Reviews carry more credibility for the site than just a bio or an alphabetical/genre link .

In addition to those above, I made a review for S.B.B. - SBB (Amiga Album). So in case the list is working (haven't checked), you can remove that one too

Been checking the list and found an interesting pattern:
  1. Most of the non reviewed albums are Best of oir The Very Best from bands that have releasaed 3 or more compilations.
  2. Another big griup is by Bobn Prog artists who were added decause one Prog album, which has been reviewed as bnauseam
  3. Albums that shouldn't be here, for example 45 Miles Davis albums that go vback to 1945
  4. Albums by artists known to have a long collection with a lot of fillers or non Prog albums (23 Wakeman albums, most compilations and 92 John Zorn albums which have no relation with Prog)
  5. Many DVD's: Lets face it, even though I buy them all, manuy artists have DVD's of different presentations with almost the same song list.
  6. EP's and Bootlegs: Lets face it, who cares for an ABWH single of Brother of mine with only two versions of the song?

Some of this albums and EP's, should only be added if they are going to be reviewed.

Right...some of the unreviewed albums we can feel interested in, but it's so hard to get or listen to them...
If possible, we'll try to write reviews for them we can obtain or hear.

If you add an artist I think everything that artist has ever done should be added. I like to see what I´m missing in my collection when I visit an artist site here on PA. If the albums are not reviewed yet that just gives me an extra motivation to do just that. Leaving something out wether it´ll be an EP nobody seems to care about or not adding some of Miles Davis albums because they where made way back when there was nothing called progressive rock seems a bit weird to me. I like a collection to be perfect which means complete. PA is in my eyes also a place to seek information about an artist. It´s not only a place where you review albums. As an example I was searching Genesis artist page about a year ago and found out that they had actually made singles. I didn´t know this! If those singles were not listed on PA I wouldn´t have been made aware of the existence of those singles and I would consider that a great loss. I haven´t written any reviews about those singles yet ( with one exception though) but I´m happy to have the info and the oppertunity to review them should the chance come one day that I find them. So I don´t consider it a problem at all that some releases have not been reviewed yet. Eventually they will be. The only thing I think is important is that it´s official releases from the band according to PA guidelines.

^^ I agree with Umur. I like complete discographies to see. I personally enjoy making first review of unknown albums or artists. There will always be empty spaces but eventually someone will write a review.

Go ahead and knock Coven's debut off the list.

I also added two more of their albums (there's one more, but I'll get around to it later).  I'll be posting reviews of those tonight or tomorrow.

I don't suppose we have an updated list of unreviewd albums ?
I'd also be interested in a list of Artists lacking a bio. I know some are near impossible  to find out about.
I had stumbled on the group Jarka on a music blog, and came back to see what PA had about them. Seeing no bio, I did some searching but couldn't find much apart from albums and personnel for each.
If that's all that can be found, should we bother submitting it as bio ? IN Jarka's case, there is one musician that had a quite lengthy and interesting career in many genres of music apart from prog.
