Vibe - the depths of my loathing for Jackass (and their poor relatives 'Dirty Sanchez') know no boundaries; in a world where I hold supreme power, all those involved in the writing, production, broadcasting and merchandising franchises would be quietly taken to one side, asked politely to kneel, a 9mm pistol would then...

Mind you, the one where the rolled Knoxville down a hill in a well used portaloo was funny

I slightly liked the first movie, never watched the TV show though.
Second Jackass movie was just terrible, I think I didn't get a single laugh out of it.

That Steve-O guy, I believe it was a short film based around the crap he did, went for about 45-60 minutes.
Absolute garbage. The stupid was just stupid and not even stupid-funny.
The one part that really put me off, was a section that showed one of Steve-O's friends beating a guy on the head with the trucks of a skateboard numerous times, simply over a feud by a dude parking in a spot where Steve O's friend wanted to part.
Needless to say, that made me feel physically sick watching that, and I knew I would never be able to watch that film ever againDead

This is coming from a guy, that loves extremely gory movies like Toxic Avenger, Braindead etc, but I know where to draw the line at art, and a film that shows a real life beating of a dude because the makers thought that was actually somehow humorousDead It's was just incredibly bad taste. I hope no one ever watches that film again, and if they do, I would think they are pretty sick if they find that bit to be funny.

Thank you Hughes - someone who agrees with me.

Good movie - very violent, very gory and very funny: "I kick ass for the LORD!"

Peter Jackson never made Braindead 2, did he? Now he's finished with Lord Of The Rings, maybe he'll get round to it after The Hobbit

...or not

I can't abide that show, so I have never heard of ANY of those guys. Dead

Call me old-fashioned, but I like actual wit in my humour, not just stupidity and crassness.

I wonder what ER docs think of that show....

I saw a funny sticker on a motorcycle a while ago. It was designed for guys who had survived their foolish teens and twenties, and reached the relative sanity of middle age -- it said "Some Fear."

( A reaction to/parody of the "No Fear" logo, of course.)

The premise was that unless you had at least some healthy, life-preserving fear, you would not likely have lived to middle age....LOL
"And, has thou slain the Jabberwock?
Come to my arms, my beamish boy!
O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!'
He chortled in his joy.

Braindead is quite probably one of the funniest movies I've ever seen in my life. Certainly up there.
He may not have made Braindead 2, but he made Bad Taste, equally as crazy as Braindead.
I liked Peter Jackson's old gory movie era better to be honest, I like a man who doesn't take himself seriously, but takes his passion very seriously
LOTR was just too much of a departure from that for me, I couldn't even sit through the whole of the first LOTR movie.

Who remembers Eddie The Eagle, the British ski jumper in the `88 Winter Olympics ? Not much difference between him and jackass.

Yeah the original show fron Ottawa was hilarious. My favourite was the  "Slut Mobile " stunt where his mother was threatening to call the cops.LOL

I`ve never seen Braindead but Bad Taste was a movie they used to play at the repetiore theatres at midnight. We used to go all f*** up out of our minds. Our girlfriends would wait for us in the McDonald`s across the street. I think Peter Jackson also made Cars That Eat People which was another Aussie cult film we`d go and see late at night.

The hospitals may have made a mint, but I'm sure the ER doctors would rather be treating those who had genuine accidents, not a bunch of no-brainers deliberately putting themselves in harms way.

Mind you - I call them no-brainers, but I guess they've made their money from this garbage, so go figure...

Quick hint - don't get the director's cuts then (average 4 hours long per movie)

Ermm Hmmm... putting one's self in (grievous) harm's way, for no good reason... join the US Army, jackass!

At least the jackass guys weren`t hurting anyone else but themselves. When Knoxville went up against that steer with a red blindfold I don`t think the steer was feeling any pain.

Yeah. That was a pretty heavy stunt, if you ask me. I guess Knoxville is always doing the heaviest stunts. Whereas... Ryann Dunn has done some pretty heavy sh** like jumping against the windshield of a forthcoming car. I cannot decide...
