I was watching the PBS broadcast of a Yes concert a couple years ago and suspect it may be a rebroadcast from 1991. Anyways I heard a peculiar piece like a fax modem that would go from a low pitch to a high pitch throughout the song. I found the set list here http://www.pbs.org/wttw/soundstage/yes/setlist.htm but could not find the song in the original or broadcast set list with this piece in it.

If anybody knows which song has this piece I'd be most grateful!

Thanks!

I can't even begin to imagine which Yes song sounds like a fax modem. Are you saying the noise went through the song in the background, or that it was the song itself?
Could you be referring to Steve Howe's guitar on Going for the One?

I can't help you either, but I have to say that this has to be the funniest thread ever! LOL (I wish I had a fax modem that would sound like Yes.)

I never really thought of it before, but any of the songs where Steve just continuously noodles about DO sound a bit like a fax modem. I'd be hard pressed to choose just one.

The opening of Arriving UFO maybe? Lotsa 'beeps' and stuff

Edit: Nevermind, it wasn't on that list of songs, should have looked there first.
