Yeah, but damn man, considering he wasn't even famous back then and had to split most of his time between working and practice with little left for a social life I guess, having a rig like that is pretty killer.

I hate the fact, in that pic, he is like, 20 or 21 years old, and he already could afford a Mesa Boogie Mark III head although take into account Mesa is a little bit cheaper for Americans than for Australians for obvious.

The vocals were good straight away for me, but you gotta remember I've been a fan of Post Hardcore music for years though, which has similar style vocals to PTH. I don't find Kezia poppy, it's not as prog as Fortress, certainly, but it still ain't exactly easy music.
