Ouch, $22 is a big dent in the wallet.
I need to hear it a third time... the second time was a bit disappointing after the eargasmic first time.
|
That's odd. I've never had a worse second listen after a really good first listen. Either I don't get it much at first and it progressively gets better (or doesn't progress) or I like it quite a bit at first listen and it progressively gets better. Exceptions over time: Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Spock's Beard have worn off on me more than when I first heard them.

Good morning. You guys have been busy in here. 43 pages since I last posted on Friday. And yet still Rush bashing. Well, at least we know that if the U.S. Army ever invades the U.K. and needs to get James out of his basement the most effect way would be to blast Rush at full volume. Won't be much of a stand-off though as James will probably come stumbling out with his hands up before the first chorus.

James is the main cause of any Rush bashing in here; then I just bash VDGG in response. It works out. That sounds like it would be the coolest way to get James out of his house. How have you been, Scott?

Finally! Godbluff is probably my least listened to album, strangely and I love The Sleepwalkers. I think it's 'cause I've yet to fully digest the lyrics to Scorched Earth and The Undercover Man, which are tracks that the lyrical content seems to go over my head on... I've heard them a lot though. When I next listen to Godbluff (or Real Time) again, I'll have the lyrics in front of me and follow them. Still Life though just hits home... it's an album I can take the lyrics in fully with... except maybe La Rossa.

Nah, I think they deserve respect for releasing the great Caress Of Steel, and containing some of the n00bs.

I can tolerate Rush easily. It doesn't hurt my ears in the slightest. It'd just gloss over me and I'd wonder what that uninteresting background music is.
