Sounds good.
I'm starting to feel the first symptoms of summer depression. Even though there are lots of thing I could do (and parts of me want to do them), I prefer doing nothing in isolation.
Like now.

Ah, know the feeling.

James jizzes all over VDGG, but they're just pretty good in my book. A lot of times, they find creative ways to disrupt the tone of a song.

I gave an album twice as many stars as you did, a day or two back :p. On the other hand, I gave Salisbury a positive review. Still Life is a bit of an oddball album, I must admit, and I think you either get it or you don't, mainly depending on how much you appreciate the lyrical content and development in it. I can understand someone who's not that concerned about lyrics not rating it stunningly highly.
|
I disagree. I always take in the lyrics and love Hammill's lyrics too and I love Still Life. It's hard to like Still Life if you don't take in the lyrics. That album is all about the lyrics, rather than the music. In fact, I take offence at that remark, Rob. Now tell me... what's wrong with the lyrics on Still Life?

James - replying to your question here instead of the other thread.
I listened to Tango off of Sotos and it was good, but it was late and I had to go to sleep - I'll have to listen to the rest of the album.
Re: Miles, the album was good but I can't say I was excited about it. I'll probably try Bitches Brew at some point. Might need more listens.
Now listening to Rob and James' prog gods.

You're listening to Status Quo? Well listen to Sotos again soon... when you're awake. Tango is brilliant. Completely and utterly brilliant.

Ouch, $22 is a big dent in the wallet. I need to hear it a third time... the second time was a bit disappointing after the eargasmic first time. I prefer Sotos' debut over it so far... in fact, I prefer a lot of albums to it.
