I might destroy the keyboard if I keep drooling though.

I must say, I agree with Stonie in that VdGG are better than UZ.
I love UZ but for originality, memorability and sheer pleasure, VdGG win easily.

I've never even really listened to VdGG that much to be honest lol. I'll just say UZ are better.

No you won't say that, 'cause it's quite simply not true. VdGG pwn UZ. VdGG pwn Magma VdGG pwn everyone (except Hammill)

I guess I'm just not as interested in that early era of prog as I used to be. Hell part of the reason why hearing some RIO was so damn refreshing was because it wasn't just King Crimson, Yes, Genesis, Jethro Tull and the like for the billionth time again.

VdGG are so different to KC, Yes, Genesis and Tull... you're missing out dude. And besides, RIO bands like UZ existed at the same time as VdGG, so erm... it's just as old.

Well arguably, KC are way different to Yes, as KC is to Tull as well, but indeed, in prog's early days, everyone had their own voice, because it was new. And yes, I realise UZ is old

Art Zoyd are even older... they first started in 1967. So let's not have any of this "oh, none of this old prog works for me..." n00biness. Listen to VdGG. They're one of the most consistent prog bands in terms of quality.

I never said "ohh none of this old prog works for me" stuff. I just implied I'm more interested in the more recent prog. I'll listen to VdGG, but there is already heaps of stuff I have that is higher on the priority list than VdGG right now.
