LMAO. I think that's the biggest understatement I've seen in awhile. My Rush fanboyism is nothing compared to his. Then again, Alex is the one who introduced me to Rush, and prog in general, so that makes sense.

I know all the lyrics to nearly every single song verbatim. LOL

(I might not know like one or two off of the debut Embarrassed)

Thanks!Thumbs%20Up As much as I love DT, I wish somebody could come up with an original poll about them. Unfortunately that was as original as I could come up withLOL

That reminds me that I forgot to mention how ironic your poll is... since that's the most original you can go. Tongue

Since you admitted it yourself, you did the work for me. LOL

I do a lot of work for you these days it seemsApprove

Man, cos those other 2 post so fast, I missed your post cos it went straight to the next pageLOL
This thread will be over in about a week I suspectTongue

If my coming week is as uneventful as today... probably less than a week. LOL

I do start college again on the 25th though; I have mixed feelings about that.

Wow, it turns out I start college again on the 25th as well. I wonder why, since it's not like we go to the same school or anythingLOL Then again, you need something to do, since I at least held a full time job over the summer while you sat around and did nothing, you lazy assWink

Don't you ever get tired of that joke? LOL

I did plenty of things this summer... just none with an "official" work-related job. I didn't need one. Not yet anyway. Tongue

I'm pretty content with my non-official job of musician, especially when our album comes out. Wink

Yeah, just need to get Danny to add to the one song and me to add to the other (thank god I actually can now that I have that part of the song). Hopefully you would know how we could go about getting the band added here to PA

Well not sure yet if it's worth recording. I figured it was more, just that I've never ever learned a song longer than about 6 minutes before, and I wanted to see how well I would be able to learn and play stuff that went over 8 minutes. Opeth songs are pretty long, but for the most part aren't technical metal, so I shouldn't have problems on the technique side of things.

Just rehearse your part extremely well and we'll record it probably sometime this week.

Yeah, I know what you mean. Well, when/if you do pull them off in the form of a recording/video, you should post them here. People would like to hear it pretty badly, I'd imagine. Smile

And why the heck do I keep getting the spam message (well, it's not too bad, all things considered) and David hasn't even gotten it once?! AngryAngry

Indeed, I think the challenge of Opeth stuff, is just the concentration aspect and just being able to remember so many parts in one song.
I guess it wont be so bad, considering I can play One by Metallica and that goes for nearly 7 and a half minutes.

Yeah, exactly. You should be able to pull it off though, from what I've read. How long have you played guitar?
