Yeah Nokia is all General Admission as well, I hate when people call GA tickets "Pit" Tickets. More than 9/10 of the venue isn't in the pit but they've got the same ticket.
Also, listen to Delieverance too...the title track is AMAZING. And only the first half of Watershed has really grown on me so far. The first 5 songs I'd say.
|
Yeah, I know exactly what you mean there; I feel the same way.
I should listen to Deliverance more as well. Funny you say that about Watershed; I've had the exact opposite. I find the second half of the album much easier to digest, personally. Heir Apparent is giving me some trouble for some reason I can't quite figure out.

I don't really like Hex Omega..and Hessinian Peal I need to listen to a few more times..2 of my very good friends think Hessinian Peel is easily the best on the album..but I don't see why really. |
Hessian Peel is my favorite, actually.

That reminds me... must play them a lot more!

Yeah, same here. Then again, I absolutely hated any sort of death metal "growling" before I finally was able to penetrate into Opeth a while back, so most of their albums took me at least 4 or 5 spins to hit me anyway.

I still haven't ordered Watershed. I'd like to, but I'd rather hear the latest Kevin Ayers album more.

I enjoyed Watershed the first time I heard it... it's quite a bit different to previous albums.
That whole out-of-tune guitar made me snigger far too much... then there was that random reversed part as well.
Akerfeldt loves fart-arsing about.

The first time I heard the de-tuning of the acoustic guitar at the end of Burden, I LOVED it.

Agree, I would place Watershed pretty far down on the priority list. And I'm a pretty good fan of Opeth.

Mikael has one of the best "Growls" and one of the best Voices I've ever heard. Not to mention the music he writes is some of the best I've ever heard as well.

Unfortunately us Brits are lame and don't smoke blunts, like you guys do.
We always mix roll-up tobacco with weed for some reason... but it means we can make huge ones.
I've always wanted to try a blunt... blasted friends never make them!

Cigarettes are even more expensive in the UK too, and I figure weed is cheaper? I could be wrong with that, but the US loves to waste taxpayer money to kill a generally harmless plant. Oh, and I saw a UK cig box and it says in big letters "smoking kills" instead of the US surgeons general warning which is pretty funny.
