Lately I've actually been buying less and less prog proportionately, but it's still my favorite genre and well over half the music I listen to falls under it. I used to like prog metal more and now I don't really, but besides that I just keep adding things to my repertoire, not removing them.

My parents are both from around NJ, personally I can't wait to get out. Not that it's too bad, just so many other places to visit limiting myself to NJ would induce robotism. I'm still fairly close to home in school, about an hour and a half away, but I probably will only come home on breaks and such.

I'm buying less proper prog... I'm buying more avant-prog, jazz fusion and Zeuhl.

Symphonic is still great though (that's what I consider as proper prog).

Started with Supertramp, Pink Floyd, Mike Oldfield etc. at 4, continued with Genesis and KC at 10. Got into Gnidrolog, Henry Cow, Beefheart and Can at 12. The rest is history

I'm really liking National Health's debut. It would be better with bassoon, IMO as a bassoon player.

I actually got into my love for music through Rush's 1980s albums (Signals through Hold Your Fire specifically) that my dad showed me. I loved "Red Sector A" and it was the first song that grabbed me. A few days later, I heard 2112. The rest is history. Big%20smile
