Anyone picked up the new Imahoritsuneyoshidatasuya album? Their '06 album Territory was killer.

For those how don't know them, 'tis a duo between Tatsuya Yoshida and Tsuneo Imahori (tipographica) playing a RIO influenced/improv/noise rock/math rock style.

I've picked up Imahoritsuneyoshidatasuya's Dots album, which I presume is the one youre referring to. I've not had a chance to listen to it properly yet, but I'm very impressed so far.

^^^ Dots it is. I've not purchased it yet (certainly intend to), but was hoping it would be up to the standards of their first effort. I'm banking on pick it up easily over here in Japan.

Chris or Adam;
You wouldn't happen to have any samples or links to where I may hear some notes of it?

Hello, all. Smile

Nothing much to say except: Hot Dang.  Am listening to Guapo's 'Black Oni' for the first time.  It's so demonic-sounding that dark clouds have literally just brewed up across the sky. Evil%20Smile  (I am not kidding.) Shocked LOL

This is (under)worlds better than 'Five Suns'.  I'm very impressed. Thumbs%20Up

I ordered Koenjihyakkei's debut three weeks ago and still nothing!  Angry  I usually have great success with Amazon sellers but not this time.

I've had success with them too, that's weird.  Check their location (some people from the UK still charge the $3 shipping) and I rarely buy from sellers with below 85% feedback, 90 is ideal, although I did buy a CD from someone with 81% or something only because the CD was new and $2.50, and it arrived fine (Silver Mt Zion).  I've had an order not arrive with eBay, some Ange CDs (cheap too Cry), but got reimbursed.

Amazon Marketplace has always worked perfectly for me.  I've got a book of bass scales coming in the mail right now.

I always use the same vendors... usually Caiman.  Of course, Caiman don't stock everything but they do have a lot, even my D&D books!

Plus they're reasonably priced too.

Oh, so it's your thunder and rain we have currently, is it? LOL

Nice and refreshing though. Big%20smile

Black Oni is indeed amazing.

I still enjoy Five Suns as well, mind you. Big%20smile

My mistake was I'm not too discriminatory when choosing the seller - one I won't be duplicating in the future.

To be honest, this is the only time I've had a problem, so it's still a great success rate - just have to be more careful from whom I purchase.  James mentioned Caiman, I end up ordering from them a lot and they are fantastic - they never screw up and delivery is pretty fast.

I always try to use the best seller... I even use Caiman ahead of other sellers who have slightly cheaper offers.  Caiman deliver from America but the postage is the same, which is excellent!  Most CDs are around £6.50 or so, which isn't too bad... ($12 give or take).

Don't blame me for the weather, blame the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. LOL

PS re. Caiman, I've ordered from them before and been very pleased with the service/speed of delivery. Smile

I almost exclusively buy from amazon sellers with ratings above 95% and over 10000 lifetime ratings.  You can get almost anything under those conditions without going much higher than the lowest price (of the quality you want), I've found.

It's a credit to the amazon seller system that even with the sort of zero discrimination I've heretofore employed, I still got a failure rate of 1/N for some large N (I've purchased a lot from amazon sellers).  But since I know I can achieve zero by sticking with better "quality" sellers, I'll be a bit more circumspect from now on.

I've always been pretty indiscriminate myself, going more by price than seller rating.

You certainly don't need to be, it's just that I think the tradeoff of approximately an extra 5% (at most) of my total order is a fair price for the additional security.

Diggin' the new Scott Brazieal album.  Not a fan of the vocals, but the music is good.

I always go for new albums too, unless it's rare... then I go for Almost New.

I presume Amazon get a cut of the money, 'cause most vendors are a lot cheaper than Amazon's own sales.  The only benefit from the buying directly from Amazon, is getting free postage for purchases over £15.  However, my order last night probably saved £20 or more from ordering from Vendors (all Caiman in this case).

I've sold a few things on amazon, they get a share but it's surprisingly not very much (forget exactly), especially compared to PreyPal, but I'm sure it adds up over time.
