I also tend to like instrumental chamber prog, but whats-her-face does a damn fine job with U-Totem.  I need to hear Motor Totemist Guild, since they contributed her and a bassoonist and maybe somebody else to U-Totem.

I prefer her on Strange Attractors at the moment but I've only heard it the once through and this is the second listen I'm having now.

She sounds like a cross between Dagmar Krause and Julie Andrews.  It's weird but I like it.

She sounds like Dagmar but more accessible.

"January Sky" on Strange Attractors is just... not my thing at all.

The rest of the album was very good though.  Not as good as the debut though.  However, further listens will assuredly help.

A friend at Prog-Ears recommended this band - No Use For Humans (brilliant name):
A fine mix of avant/electronica/oddity...

Mmm... this sounds nice.  The beats, whether or not they're sampled, I can't tell, are great.  And song progression is also very, very nice--I haven't heard much electronica nor math like this before.  I'd be more tempted to call this contemporary classical.  Thanks for the rec'.

Well I'm definitely going to be there - if anything, the line up is even better than the first one.

Wow, how indubitably cool.  That really is a dream line up! Thumbs%20Up  I hope I can go.  The dates would fit in well with my work schedule, so if I start plotting/scheming/saving now... hmm, all being well, see you in France. Wink

I really want to go but considering I'm in the US and currently unemployed, it seems improbable. Cry
