I see the result of "3rd B.T.M.C.O" and I get idea about this poll.
I like all four songs, but I prefer the songs of "The Yes Album".

Which album songs do you prefer?

The Musical Box and The Fountain Of Salmacis flatten the other two. Simply no contest that I can see.

the diplomat in me says all four , pfff, what quality!
I never post anything anywhere without doing more than basic research, often in depth.

Woah! Now this is one hell of a poll. Very hard decision for me... I simply have to go for all four, as they're all absolutely killer tracks.

Great poll! Clap

I'm with ya Fuxi! To me the Yes tunes are a couple that define the genre (this is FOR ME anyways Smile). While I heartily enjoy the Genesis songs - when it comes to preference I'm much more of a Yesman

IMHO nothing Yes did remotely compares to:

  1. Musical Box
  2. Can utility
  3. Supper's Ready
  4. Fountain of Salmacis

So, in this case my vote is easy.

Iván

This is very much in line with Cacho's recent poll concerning the Yes Album and Nursery Cryme.
I rate all very highly but prefer Yours Is No Disgrace and Starship Trooper, my favourite two from a classic album.

I like Fountain of Salmacis the best of the 4 but the musical Box the least though it is probably better constructed than the Yes pair.

Fountain to me is the best middle length prog track ever, with Gates of Delirium the best epic

these were the great days
How wonderful to be so profound

4 good songs, but as i love JON ANDERSON voice and can't stand GABRIEL theatricals, the winner is YESThumbs%20Up

Just for The Musical Box, I go for Genesis. Probably their best song after Supper's Ready Smile.

The Yes Album is excellent, but I prefer Nursery Cryme.

All 4 songs are great without a doubt

My vote however goes for the Genesis ones.

All four are top notch in MHO. I wouldn't mind listening or seeing any of those songs peformed live. The only one that I haven't seen live is Fountain. Sadly no Peter in Genesis when I saw them.

Well, there still is a contest because the selected Yes songs are both great, but I agree. The Genesis songs still crush those Yes songs.Confused
