i use a bright pink one - it's acoustic. sometimes I have trouble keeping my fingertips in place on the fretboard and it takes me five or so second to change between E and D. I'm thinking of stenciling something cute onto the front, any suggestions? =)

is it ok if I lean it against a radiator?

I have a Carvin Bolt that I customized the tone section to help boost the mids.  My backup is a custom built Charvel/Jackson I received around 1990.Smile

I use a Squier MC-1 for classical guitar (it's getting too dang small and mom won't believe me!!!) and a Yamaha PAC012 for electric stuff.
It's in the shop right now, for reasons including but not limited to the fact I went so wild with my whammy bar I broke it off!

It fell to the ground and it's wings broke and died
But when the time got by, back to sky it flied cause the wings healed in time and the bird was I-Wintersun

^LOL.
A non locking trem like that one really is not designed for anything much more than subtle warbles without going out of tune.

Any opinions on Danelectro guitars, especially the new Pro reissue? Based on some clips I've watched on Youtube it has a really nice, bright and clean sound, but can you also get something more raw and unrefined (in a bluesy sort of way) out of it?

As it's pink, yes.

As it's pink, yes.

This only applies, however, if the radiator in question is white.

You might want to avoid recent Danelectro guitars. They were bought out by Evets Corporation in the 90s, and the newer range of Danelectro aren't really what they used to be apparently.
In fact, only last month was it found '08 models were defective and had to be sent back to Evets Corp', which is incredibly bad quality control in the works.
Take a look at another brand. Fender's, with alder bodies and single coil pickups are among the best if you want a snappy, bright clean tone and the American made models are indeed pretty good quality.

^ Sadly you can't get a Fender for around 200 - 250€. And they don't look as wacky as the Danelectro. I guess I'll just stick to my unknown Strat copy for now.

I have a Yamaha pacifica 112 lefty, but I'm dreaming of getting a Gibson SG some day. It's very difficult to find left-handed guitars that are not Strat-type from Finland.

These days, I'm really into Stratocaster guitars! Mine is a Classic Player 50's that I really love! Its neck is just perfect to me!!

I also own a Les Paul copy which I like but the neck is another story now that I know the CP's one ;)

My acoustic guitar is a Yamaha LL16.

Don't lean it against a radiator, it will likely damage the finish and probably not in a good way. It might also cause the guitar to dry out and warp the neck. This might cause problems with the action and might even lead to extra force on from the strings, lifting or even snapping off the bridge.

As for a stencil, I hope it's something original. Don't go for the usual peace sign, heart, star or Hello Kitty. I'd suggest something simple in white.

I started out with a fender squire 7 years ago but upgraded to a Epiphone Les Paul classic 5 years ago and never looked back! Great for someone like myself on a budget. no complaints yet!
