Out
of interest, what is the US Minimum Wage? In the UK it's £4.85 for
people aged 21 and over (i think), and £4.20 an hour for 18 - 21.
That's around $8.79 an hour for over 21's and $7.61 an hour for 18-21
year olds. |
Its $5.15/hr for all ages. Thats the federal law anyway... some of the
more liberal northeastern states or alaska may have higher minimum
wages than that, but I'm not entirely sure. I think its a reasonable
amount, even if it is less than other countries. Minimum wages that
high can really be taxing on small businesses.

Its an interesting topic, but lets not let this thread devolve into
political flamewars over minimum wage. If anybody wants to discuss it,
start a thread.
More summer plans!

And can make you feel crap on the following "Treacherous Tuesday"...apparently
As far as my summer goes - there's the Glade Festival in July (electronic dance for 3 days - sorry), Cropredy in August (Fairport Convention's annual bash - always a blast!), a week on the northern canals in September (we do this every year - hugely relaxing), and in between trying my best to get an acceptable set together to be able to play club chillout rooms; my set so far is a combination of electronic ambient with occasional journeys into prog (Tangerine Dream, Pink Floyd, Peter Mergener) - my attempted cross-pollenation between dance/prog continues...
