It was a great evening because the RIVERSIDE boys were in a good mood! I had seen them for two times before and always was a little bit disappointed because of technical sound problems and the lack of enthusiasm. But this time they made it!  Clap

An excellent sound mix rounded up this fantastic pROCKclub gig which took place at the Bielefeld MOVIE. Every instrument could be heard clearly and precisely on this occasion. They played a cross-section of their albums (I could make a pic from the official setlist of this evening) - their typical blend of melancholic ballads - Conceiving You seeing Mariusz Duda animating the audience - and heavy parts very concentrated but also with a lot of joy and fun.

Finally 'Back to the river' from the Rapid Eye Movement bonus disc including the interpretation of Pink Floyd's 'Shine on you Crazy Diamond' closed this exciting event ...

I was there; it was quite good. Venue was a bit small for the percussion, though. Bass should have been damped as it did overpower sometimes. Made for a good wall-of-sound approach to some parts like the end of Volte-Face, though. Similarly, the keyboards could have been turned up a bit in my opinion. Nonetheless, it sounded reasonably good. Also, I laughed at Maruisz saying "Danke schön!" to the audience.

There were awkward moments, like when he had the audience start clapping and then stopped them before Ultimate Trip to show off the drummer. To be honest, they were pretty bad about rushing throughout the show (which lead me to a few surreptitious giggles along the way). Setlist was great and the audience was appreciative. I loved having the venue right across from the Hauptbahnhof (main train station).

No pictures; I forgot my camera in France.

I was there tooSmile, my impression was that they were a bit "rusty" in the beginning, but started to really flow well during the concert. I also think the keyboards could have been a bit more turned up in the mix. Overall a very good concert tho, I had a very good night. I like it when they play in a small venue like this. My highlight was Reality Dream III, where they were really having fun, and Mariusz and Piotr playing great.
I also made quite a lot of pictures, some are here (mainly of Mariusz and Piotr Grudzinski, because the other two I could not catch well with my little camera)

The crowd involvement was unnecessary in my opinion, but Maruisz was quite impressive (all the reason more not to involve the people who can't sing to save their lives).
