So not you then, Pat. I always put the key back in the right place. Pat or Linus must have moved it.

Is the site still being attacked? It just took me minutes to get to this page and on other days I've not been able to load the site at all. I'm not having trouble with other websites. It's one of the reasons that I'm posting less; I keep getting page timeouts trying to load the Grey Room.

When people get lost in thought it's often because it's unfamiliar territory.

From a few e-mails yesterday, I get the impression our lord & master, M@Ximus Veridian Ping (for it is he) spent most of yesterday fighting cybergeeks in the ether to get this place back up & running (then had to find the Grey Room key in the rubble) - what is it with these people?

Someone must have moved the front door key to the Grey Room from underneath the flowerpot next to the front porch.I think the Suede Roomers (or whatever they are called nowadays) sussed out it's whereabouts. |
That's another theory - I believe those in the Play Room may have tried jerry-rigging the wiring in PA Mansions to run some kind of death-match-X-Box-PS3 type "Oh look we're all south central Los Angeles gangsters whoops my mistake we're all actually quite sad prog fans really" type game & overloaded the bakelite fuse board.
What's wrong with Ludo?
Or nine mens morris?

the cyber-geeks/pirates must deem the Grey Room a very important target to wreck - members of one of the last decent polite civilised microcosms of a long extinct world that exists on earth...

Straight from the keyboard of he who built this room.

Let's find the pirates' web sites and hack into them. We could bombard them with Dream Theater reviews.
Anyone know how to hack?

It's pants all this on line - off line malarky......... hackers, Pirates, shoot the lot of them I say!
As for your plan Chopper........... a good one, although strangely enough in my experience of hackers/pirates/critics those who are so good at happily dishing out this crud are those who are the absoloute worst when the tables get turned!

If anyone knows how to hack them back, it'd be Dean, I think...
As far as hacking goes myself, I'd help:

Having roamed the streets of the West End, assualting passers-by with copies of "The Sentinel", we will now roam the Interweb, seeking out those who would dare to attack the hallowed portals of ProgArchives, forcing them to listen to the complete works of Pallas on a loop whilst nailing their testicles to a chair.
