Not cheap.About £30 for a shave and hot towels plus a bit of a face massage.! Worth every penny though.

Do 'The Stanley' otherwise I'll thrash you with some rhubarb.

Santana was in Singapore on a week when I was back in Oz. I had a bit of a long face over that one! Cry

And Ravi Shankar's daughter (can't think of her name at the moment) is doing a concert in Singapore this coming Saturday ... and I head back to Perth on Friday. Another miss!

Time for a photo of the 2 1/2 sheds that sit down the bottom of the garden.  My camera 'phone is a bit odd when it comes to processing bright weather. LOL

i can  recall a German composer who went deaf in later life and continued  composing and conducting....also incredible. Wink

yes I didn't think of the Beethoven comparison..  here he is, Sargy Mann, though you have to sit through a crummy but short commercial first

there have been quite a few artists with sight loss, but his method is unique

Oh, believe me Dean - not all the examples posted were true for me either; both my parents had to work to make ends meet, but even then they often didn't ('ang on, this is going to end up as the 4 Yorkshiremen sketch if I'm not careful...) - although, it does point up one more thing which I daresay rarely happens these days: in case I got home before my parents, the front door key (I never had my own) was always under the doormat by the front door... how many people are happy to do that now??

And incidentally, I never blew up frogs either (that was Andrew Pink & John Honeychurch ), my forte was tying 4 or 5 bangers (which I bought from the toy shop) together, pushing them into the rankest, most disgusting cow-pat I could find until only the touchpaper poked above... lighting it... then seeing which of us had the nerve to stand the closest.

I was saying about the George Harrison tribute concert CD a couple of pages ago; the first CD in the set has a 25 minute Indian classical piece 'Arpan' written & conducted by her - also has a superb sitar solo by her 'In Your eyes'

That sounds painful, Fanny Fandango

There are so many things I could say at this point, but I'll content myself with repeating Jared's summation:

I'm still in shock over the news that Valerie Singleton and Peter Purves had a "fling" when they were both on Blue Peter. What is the world coming to?
