Robert Fripp toured with G3 last year sometime. They had a few shows in Sao Paulo.

Although Malmsteen is really arrogant at times and generally annoying all round with his posing and kicking on stage I really do think he is the best.
If you have the DVD- Live in Denver and watch his fingers on the fretboard, itīs mind boggling!
Of course Vai and Satriani are good, its just that Malmsteen has that edge

Yngwie's playing is hardly mind blowing playing in the same minor keys and using the same diminished arpeggios in eeeeeevery song is not mind boggling. He's just to one dimensional to me no variety. Plus he totaly ruined little wing.

Joe Satriani. But all the guys from the list are amazing though and apart from Johnson and Fripp, I've seen them all live.

It was interesting that Fripp was a part of this. It is totally out of his character.

Probably people that have a great deal of respect for someone that almost single-handedly pioneered the neo-classical metal genre.

I would normally vote for Petrucci, but there is far too few votes for the guitarist with the best tone I've ever heard. Eric Johnson. Eric Johnson. Eric JOHNSON.
