Topic: PFM planning tour of Canada in fall of 2008 Posted: February 03 2008 at 15:39 |
Guys
For those interested, just got a message from Franz (Di Cioccio), PFM is planning to tour Canada again, probably in September or October. Toronto, Montreal, Quebec City, and perhaps Vancouver as well.
Cheers.

Are you f**king kidding me ? I can't believe they would come back here, but I'll be there for sure if they do come!
They were beyond amazing when they played here in Quebec, simply the best show I ever saw!

No kidding my friend.
But the best show ever (well, in my book) was at Grand Théâtre de Québec in December 1975. 7 encores if I remember right. And a line up to match : Mussida, Pagani, Premoli, Djivas, Di Cioccio, and Lanzetti on vocals. Just friggin unbelievable. Alta Loma alone was worth the price of the ticket.
But I agree the shows in 2005 (I attended those in Montreal and Quebec City) were fantastic. The one in Quebec City was much better, as the audience was almost hysterical and that just electrified the band I guess. I read somewhere that PFM was just blown away by the crowd in Quebec City, best audience in N.A. during that tour..
Actually, that's a suggestion I made to PFM, bring Pagani, Premoli and Lanzetti back and make one heck of a record before you retire. Don't think my opinion matters much though...

We indeed were hysterical in 2005, because their performance was out of this world, I had never heard acoustic guitar solos with that much emotion live! And the band really realized that we loved them, I'm sure they can't wait to see us again, just like we can't wait to see them again :P

Very cool. Why just Canada and not all of North America though?

Franz only said the band would be in Canada during the fall of 2008. He didn't say the they wouldn't stop anywhere else. Who knows, they may be planning a N.A. tour, I don't know, and to pretend otherwise would be pure speculation.

It would be great if they included some U.S. dates as well, but Canada isn't that far for me. Especially if they play Windsor.

Well, probably not Windsor, but Toronto isn't that far off.
But if you want the real magic of an electrified audience boosting up the live performance and you get a chance, come see the show in Quebec City.....

That sounds great, but Toronto would probably be the best bet. The main temple of the Buddhist society I belong to is there, so I could combine the concert with a visit there.

As Canada is concerned there are talks about dates in second half of november in Toronto, Quebec City and Vancouver.
After North America they are going to play in Central and South America starting from Mexico City on December 3rd.

Saw them in 2005 at the Nearfest Preshow when Proto-Kaw opened for them. Maybe the best prog show I have seen since the 70's. Hope you all enjoy them.
