I would say that Elec Frankenstein reminds me of a Marc Bolan solo album. It isn't prog to me but then we have plenty of non-prog on this site. Maybe it's prog-related.

Also, Raffa, there's more than one band with that name. The Tofani one is from '75 I believe.

well see what the bible's have to say.. and we can always come to it later... prog being ...extremely subjective. It you don't think so.. we'll put it on hold .. maybe I will once I hear it. Clap

From the band's myspace page:

Last saturday (22nd march 2008) we’ve finally entered the recording studio to start working on our second album: "Senza Tempo".
Three tracks are already complete, except for the voice line, with a final drum track already in place.
We hope to finish the recording sessions within Spring, keeping Summer for mixing and mastering.
If everything goes as planned, the album should be out next Fall.

Stay tuned!

With great pride we announce that 'Winterthrough', the new Hostsonaten album, is selling very well. 3000 copies are for now sold, a great succes on the progressive world. Thanks to all! [still few reviews, though!!!!!!!!]

Due to this success AMS/VM2000 label will print a vinyl version of the album on beautiful gatefold cover and a very limited picture disc version. All with a bonus track (Autumn's decline).
You can pre-orded the vinyl album on www.btf.it or sending an email to [email protected]

Other news on 'Springsong'. The fourth chapter of the 'Seasoncycle Suite', out in 2002 on Sublime label, will be re-print on AMS/VM2000 label and will be available in next months with new artwork, remix, bonus tracks, etc..

'Springsong' will be on stage this summer as a performance of contemporary ballet on july 10 in the ancient castle of Forte Sperone in Genova. The directions will be by genoese thetrical directors and coreographer Paola Grazzi.

Changing subject, ever listened to Ainur? Well besides mr Cortese who actually reviewed them, of course.
Their work is so impressive. They're going to play in Milan, Italy, this coming saturday, in case anyone is around!

I've read many reviews on Hostsonaten albums lately but two only for the latest record Winterthrough (mine and Erik's one). I'm sure time will bring us many passionate comments from our italian prog lover crew!!!

Also Ainur are something comparable to a rare beast. A very inspired band. A talented orchestra. Let's hope to read soon reviews on Children of Hurin, their newest album.

I don't live in Milan, but I have friends who do, and who also know the band. I don't know if they are going to the concert though... I'd like them to get me a CD, so either Micky or I can review it for the site. I'll drop them an email tonight, and see if they can help me.

Bought it today. Listening to it right now. Very interesting album, one of the best of the recent years. The only problem could be the drums' part which is (unfortunately and incredibly) subdued
