Specific Album Pressings

Bands with large Discographys often have their albums in 2-5 diffrent pressings.
And if you're collecting their discography, but buy all the albums in diffrent pressings, your collection will look "messy".

My point is that i've started collecting Uriah Heep (Late 80's-90's pressings. Castle Communications or Mercury) and Iron Maiden (Late 80's-90's pressings. EMI Records). And are struggling to find the following albums in those pressings:

• Iron Maiden - Iron Maiden, Killers, Piece of Mind
• Uriah Heep - Very 'eavy, Very 'umble, Salisbury, Sweet Freedom, High & Mighty, Firefly, Innocent Victim

So does anyone know where i can find them at a reasonable price?

A lot of the Castle Communication, See For Miles, BGO, One Way  reissues were made under license from major record labels and using the original master tapes intended for the (often) frequency range limited vinyl record market. Hence frequency unlimited on CD these can sound trebly top heavy, and because of multi-tracking demands for the record but on limited multi-tacking recording facilities, the audio quality may also be limited this way. However, with some obscure and limited pressings of LPs this may be your your only choice. Beware of labels that have made a CD master from an LP - rather than have master tapes. Beware of poorly remastered albums. T2's It'll Work Out In Boomland has  suffered both these problems with the first two CD issues  - however, with Decca's more recent two boxsets containing alternative and much superior remastered tracks from that album (i.e. on Legend Of A Mind and Strange Pleasures), there are hopes that this problem may be resolved at long last.

Have to commend a lot of Repertoire Records issues, for both providing remastered versions and occasionally replica cardboard covers. BTW BGO, Castle and One Way are getting better issuing remastered CDs - and in probability these labels have been bought out by the big companies. Equally the big record companies can be patchy: e.g.
1.  over time marketing a number of variants of remasters of a particular recording, where you may wonder what the latest remaster has over the previous (apart from maybe the addition of some outtakes of debatable worth, gold rather than aluminium, x +y bit,  SACD type, etc.. ) - I've heard folks say this about Mahavishnu Orchestra's Birds Of Fire.
2. in the example of the (New) Tony Williams Lifetime Believe It, which was first issued as a twoforone with Million Dollar Legs, and then as a single album but with two bonus tracks - neither of these appear  to be remastered?
