Well this thread is for prog fans that enjoy some albums that are commonly dismissed, underrated, overlooked, whatever..
Also we can discuss a little bit from each album, not making own tastes being insulted, but just for sharing a little bit, and somehow recomend them.. |

this o:)
also I'd like to remind people that it's not a crime to like JMJ, YMO and pop-era Kraftwerk just because they aren't freaking out or making rhythmscapes. I really love a lot of Yellow Magic Orchestra's cheesy music. |

Well dunno about Crimson's modern stuff neither 80's or 90's so really can't apport anything..
Have in mind I do like pop, new wave, alt rock in a certain degree. Inxs, Audioslave, Simply Red, Pearl Jam, Coldplay. Don't love them but really enjoy playing one of them. My turn: ![]() Don't get what's the problem with this album...Well I do, but can't people even like it. It's a hell of a fun album, very relaxing. It's not superb prog like Floyd standards, but not a 2 star and much less a 1 IMHO. Not essential for a Prog Collection, but yes for a Floyd fan surely. |

Strangely I liked Tormato. Now I enjoy skipping songs, but not as a whole. Hey schizoid man what's your fave track from the album? Mine's surely Don't Kill the Whale ![]() |

Opinion: It's not that I dislike The Final Cut, but Febus, man, it's way to depressive. I like some songs as The Wall but not, IMO, a listenable album for any moment.. ![]() What's your fave track from it? |

Dream Theater's Train of Thought is one of my faves from them. I thought the structure of the songs worked at well, especially the build-ups.
I liked the Division Bell a lot by Pink Floyd. Though, I don't know if it is hated that much. |

For Floyd's no, it's not hated, but neither apreciated. A good example would be Final Cut already mentioned, Obscured by Clouds mentioned by me and A Momentary Lapse of Reason, wich I categorise it Neo Prog just cause the sound of the drums ![]() |

Obscured By Clouds is a great Pink Floyd album. Highly underated. Childhood's End is one of my favorite Gilmour songs done by Floyd.

...might as well answer the question while I'm here. I actually like a good bit of Genesis' 80s stuff. Maybe not entire albums, but the self-titled and Abacab have quality material on them, and also the debut album "From Genesis to Revelation". The only other one's I can think of aren't dismissed, but just plain obscure.
