"The Holocaust was an obscene period in our nation's history. I mean in this century's history. But we all lived in this century. I didn't live in this century."

The poor guy really wasn't the sharpest knife in the drawer.

Oh God, I love the ones where he realizes he messed up, but only makes it worse as he tries to fix it. I swear I think of Michael Scott from The Office whenever someone mentions Quayle.

Maybe some of the bigger states(landmass wise) need to be cut up to make smaller more manageable states. That could have been his thinking or......he could have been counting the territories that are allowed to vote in our great democratic process.

"You take the United Negro College Fund model that what a waste it is to lose one's mind or not to have a mind is being very wasteful. How true that is."

I had forgotten how funny these were, I mean they are really hysterical!  LOL

"The other day the President said, I know you've had some rough times, and I want to do something that will show the nation what faith that I have in you, in your maturity and sense of responsibility. He paused, then said, would you like a puppy?"

I still think

'This is not the time for soundbites. We feel the weight of history upon our shoulders.' takes the proverbial biscuit.

Personally I think Obama's 57 states comment was a slip of the tongue by someone who may be a bit sleep deprived on a campaign trail. I still think the comment will haunt him a bit as have his associations with Rev. Wright and Bill Ayers have. Even Obama's wife's comments have haunted him a bit. It's just political ammunition and the opposing side will use it for all it's worth. That's the nature of politics.

Anybody else heard that amusing campaign flier suggesting that incest will reign should Jefferson become president?

Yeah, go figure.
