Topic: Henry Cow Album Double Ups Posted: May 12 2008 at 18:51 |
The remasters of Henry Cow's Legend, Unrest and Western Culture are entered separately into PA. And going by the PA album ID numbers it has been like that for a long, long time.
Original albums:
Remasters:
Can someone with more firepower than me have a look and clean up the entries if necessay, please? (A task I would imagine is complicated a little more because they all have ratings.)
Cheers,
T.Rox

While on the subject, if you look at the Unrest (remastered) page, the first and last track in the track listing still contain a placeholder (they're both called "Title").
Serious question: do we need to have the original and remasters as separate entries? Any deviation wrt to track listing (bonus tracks) could simply be identified on a common page.

I spotted the two "title" entries in your first query. I am waiting for the outcome of the dealing with the double ups before doing anything.
As for the second query: It is site policy to have only one listing per album regardless of reissue with bonus tracks and the like, hence my thread. Only a very few Admins can remove album entries and deal with the ratings and reviews that go along with them, thus we wait for these busy people to address the issue.

Cheers, thanks for the info - with the site crash and other issues, might be some time before there's an answer here.

The site policy is one entry per album, so I believe they should be removed. Im not sure what the Admins policy on double up's with ratings/reviews are though..

This is still outstanding as well, obviously a non-issue if/when things are merged into one entry per album.
