We have been attacked and the database corrupted, we did our best to restore most of the data, unfortunately we had to restore a backup of the data (reviews, albums, posts, reviews,...) from midnight yesterday May 13.

Sorry and thanks for reporting issues here.

Max

Thanks for letting is know, Max.  I did wonder why posts had been rolled back.

Any idea who attacked the site and is it now secure?

At least we don't have to re-add hundreds of albums again.

Is our help needed with restoring albums and other lost data?

We should ask content-admins if some artist/albums are missing ?

It seems only albums added after midnight forum time... if there were any.  The same applies for any database updates.

Reviews posted after that time will need to be resubmitted though.

As for bands/artists, I think nothing got lost. Ako Doma was the last one I remember from last night and he was still the last one added when I looked this morning before the attack.

As for albums, some were lost, but I can't say which ones.

I got an email that I'd received a private message, but when I signed in I didn't have any new messages. Could this be due to the hacking?

What is it about these losers with nothing better to do?  I'll never understand this destructive mentality.

Most likely.  I presume the recovery of the database and forum to 00:00 hours forum time may have meant losing any PMs received after than time but I cannot be sure.

Nobody has PM'd me as far as I am aware, so I cannot prove this.

The hacker should be waterboarded by Islamic pygmies and forced to listen to Madonna's greatest hits ad infinitum....

Looks like any PMs sent after the restore time will have been lost. Best to resend them if you can remember who you sent them too.

Thanks to M@x and Phil for getting us up and running again so quickly.
