Practically though, I would definitely go in a chronological order to hear how they change in style from one to the other and the different sounds they emphasize on and how they develop a piece on each album.
So, Start with 1-3, but if that's too pricey, then go for either 4 or 5.

I need to get that Box album still, as well as Food's albums and a few other Rune artists. (I'll get them soon from Wayside on my next order).

www.waysidemusic.com has a few in stock ((Rhinos...Whatever happens....live rarities....pollo d'oro)).

One of the albums I'm highly anticipating this year is the album Fossil Eyes by the Red Masque which have announced it here in PA already. However I think it should be brought up here as well:

The Red Masque are pleased to announce that work on their new album, Fossil Eyes, is finally complete and is being sent off to the record label. Vonorn wrapped up productions this weekend, and the final song list is below:

As a reminder, The Red Masque will be performing on May 2nd in Philadelphia at Germ Books and Gallery (2005 Frankford Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19125; 215.423.5002). This concert is featured as part of Philly's "First Friday" Arts Crawl. Show time is 7 PM and admission is FREE but donations accepted. This will be a very intimate concert experience with a limited number of seating. Germ Books is also an unusual space and describes itself as an “alternative independent bookstore that [provides] access to ideologically unpopular books; books that address difficult social topics; books that don't cater to the lockstep mentality of the current counterculture; and books that reveal who our true masters are: The UFO Overlords.”

Also spotted this on the Rune Grammofon website; A release by a cool new trio; Have a read below:

 
RCD 2075 - Elephant9: Dodovoodoo
PRICE: 119,00 NOK

Excellent new trio consisting of Ståle Storløkken (Supersilent, Humcrush) on keyboards, Nikolai Eilertsen (The National Bank, Lester) on bass and Torstein Lofthus (Shining) on drums. Storløkken mostly concentrating on organ and electric piano gives the album a late sixtees, early seventees flavour with traces of rock, jazz, prog and psychedelia. The rock solid rhythm section gives it all a contemporary edge and we get an extremely tight little unit with a high degree of great musicianship as well as pure joy in their playing. Already a firm live favourite on the Norwegian scene for a couple of years due to a handful of highly energetic and enthusiastically received concerts, they have transfered their live promise to the recording studio with ease. The album was recorded live to analogue tape in Grand Sport Studio, Oslo.

Release: 26.05.08

Besides that, the rest don't sound terribly interesting to me.  Well, 1313 is interesting but I already have it.

Supersilent is rather interesting though I haven't listened to them in the longest time
to be honest the only one I listened to more than once was 6, I had 8 but never gave it a proper listen
aren't their first few albums abrasive as hell?

I don't suppose anyone has hard the new Art Zoyd album "La chute de la Maison Usher" (The Fall of the House of Usher) perchance?

It has a 2008 release, but I'm not sure if it's out yet.  I guess I should check their website.  Anyhow, if anyone gets to hear it, I'd be pleased to hear how it is.

I also wouldn't mind if someone who knows Japanese could somehow translate the words on those Art Zoyd remasters, as it seems there could be a little explanation of the songs.

Also, are some of those bonus tracks solo ones by Thierry Zaboitzeff and the other guy?  I was curious, because if they are, I will change the artist name so they post correctly on last.fm.

If you know, again, it would be appreciated.
