they've managed to steal my lastfm charts recently! They're Indie-influenced on the one side (MUSE, RADIOHEAD, PLACEBO etc) and Modern Prog/Post-Rock (THE AMBER LIGHT, GAZPACHO, THE PINEAPPLE THIEF, SIGUR ROS, IMMANU EL, GOD IS AN ASTRONAUT etc) on the other. Check their MySpace, they have their best songs uploaded there IMO

ok thanks for the word I'll check'em outSmile

Yes this sounds almost too good to be true.

And yes, BLD is astounding.

I might put a track on the streaming player. The Horse is the shortest track at over 10 minutes,so it will probably be that one.

Sea of dying dhow is an honest contender for the best album of the 2000's. I just got done listening to it, and it's still enthralling as the first listen.

Haven't heard it in quite some time...it kind of bores me. But then again it's an incredible band and one of my favorites though. Maybe I'll give it a spin sometime this weekBig%20smile

^^ Thanks.

For those of you who are fans of the Grails (I love their music), they have a new album coming out in a couple of weeks called Take Refuge In Clean Living.  They have a track playing on their myspace site http://www.myspace.com/grailsongs.  If you liked their last album - Burning Off Impurities, you'll love this one.

^^ Whoops - they (Grails) are classified here on PA as psychedelic/space rock.  That may be but they have a certain post-rock sound to them as well - worth checking out.

I enjoyed Burning Off Impurities. It wasn't spectacular, but enjoyable is a nice way to describe it. I might have to get their newest when it comes around.
