I find that I have to force myself through the first two tracks... but I really like what comes in the second half. Are any of the TFK albums really solid throughout? I don't think I could stomach a double album by them if all their material just goes on and on.

^ I have no idea. Have only tried that one album. Really disliked those two songs at first, found them repetitive. The album grew a lot when I started listening to all the subtle nuances. Any rec for a second album?

That's only four! ([Edit:] nevermind, you corrected it.) How is Thrak by the way? I've been indecisive about buying it.

Updated now. Thrak is...so-so. Haven't listened to it enough yet. Depends on whether you like Discipline/Beat-era KC I guess. Kind of a mixture of old and new stuff, with some throwaway instrumentals (IMO).

I love his solo stuff, even if the later stuff has been very AOR. That's okay, Instant Clarity was still a hard rocking
effort. Apparently he, Hansen and Grapow might get together and break his vow never to record metal again!
Looking forward to that! Because I really like Place Vendome and that was only kind of heavy.
Ah, yes, the game:
Chris Squire - You By My Side (Fish Out Of Water)
Voivod - Temps Mort (Phobos)
Pink Floyd - Corporal Clegg (Saucerful of Secrets)
Metallica - Escape (Ride The Lightning)
Pearl Jam - Indifference (Vs.)
