Here they are:
http://www.myspace.com/adolfplaysthejazzz http://adolfplaysthejazz.tripod.com/ Here's a little quote taken from their myspace biography: Their musics aim is to combine the art rock of the 70's (head music) with todays post rock feeling (heart music) through a punk//do it yourself//lo-fi - attitude. |

I'm downloading Day 4 Urban Fiction right now, comes in WinRAR format btw. I'll have it on my computer in about 10 mins, so I might be able to give a little idea of what it's like later today

I guess the album, I must admit, I'm looking forward to it, the only other band with punk rock influences in post rock that I know of is ASMZ, and they're in my sig! KW, I like your sig.

Cool, it's finished downloading, I've extracted it to my hard drive from the WinRAR, and I will definitely be keeping it on my computer, we are on a winner here

I just received the After The Ceiling Cracked DVD by Pelican, I'll post my thoughts about it once I've given it a listen but I can already tell that the 3 track 3" CD that comes with it is an interesting one.

question.
what do post-rock fans think of Oceansize? They are very post-rock at times. especially in this song: http://www.myspace.com/ihaventbeentheclawforages this is easily one of the most beautiful post-rock songs i've heard. |

I think that "Women Who Love Men Who Love Drugs" is very post rock oriented. And it's simply amazing! |

I think Effloresce is more post-rock overall, but there's definitely post-rock in just about all of their songs.
by the way, they are coming out with a DVD in a month including: "full-length live performance of frames in glorious stereo, directed by rob bradshaw and mixed by chris sheldon. 30 minute documentary of the recording of the frames album (none of this footage was in the video diary we released at the time), featuring a full beer-fueled jam whilst shelders was away. 4 full live videos, culled from footage from roughly 10 gigs from the last few tours.....including some stuff from the pumpkins tour. 2 brand new tunes. photo gallery." (taken straight from Mike Vennart's post on the official Oceansize forum) |

I just got Neurosis' Eye of Every Storm today. I have only given it one spin so far, but so far, it is excellent. i doubt it will end up topping Through Silver in Blood though (but the two albums are very different, so it is probably best to avoid to much comparison).

Maybe if you like Oceansize you might like Moving Mountains. Some of their songs sound like Oceansize. They have a Post Rock-Mathy sound with emo-like vocals(thats what they say,) check em out on there myspace and tell me what you think: http://www.myspace.com/movingmountainsmusic Edited by burritounit - April 10 2008 at 21:51 |

Anybody else listening to Do Make Say Think? I've gotten their three most recent albums, and I'm really enjoying them right now, especially the mellow atmosphere of their music.
