Check out my band "Dwolgbeff " from Sweden, we are a band of young (16-17) psych/progheads who play a kind of psychedelic-prog jam music, inspired by the likes of Bo Hansson, Träd, Gräs och Stenar and Älgarnas Trädgård.

Sounds alot like me and my (now defunct) acid-rock band, too bad we never got around to recording. Actually I dont think we were as good as you guys.
P.S.
that thing about being under the influence of tea is BS I can tell that whatever you were doing was alot stronger or was the tea mixed in to streach it (I'm just messn with you)

Cool :) We haven't been able to rehearse that much recentley, since I've moved to another part of the country (Sweden), but we are recording a new demo sometime before the end of this year, it will be alot more influenced by Space rock
Hmm, For rehearsals we try to just stick with regular tea, and not be under the influence of anything else, music tends to turn out really wierd otherwise Edited by Stars Die - November 08 2007 at 06:32 |

Hi there Dwolgbeff. I just tried your samples at MySpace, and it's quite a nice, relaxing listen. Funny to see that on one end you refer to your seventies 'roots', and then include Porcupine Tree Megadeth and Marillion among your main influences
English Breakfist is quite a nice, varied and a bit psychedelic track, which does more for me than the Hostens Rost sample. If you can do this at age 16, I'll be interested to see what you can do at age 20 - keep going, and let us know when and where the new demo becomes available! Cheers, Angelo |

Hi
My band Dwolgbeff has just recorded a new demo based on the story of Alice in Wonderland. We are a trio of Swedish 16-17 year old guys that play some sort of Psychedelic prog/Space rock.
Our myspace is www.myspace.com/dwolgbeff
Have a listen to the new songs and tell me what you think!

Hey, great sound. It's like...symphonic prog mixed with power metal and space rock...something like that. It's good though. In general the music is fun and light while at the same time powerful and heavy (probably the drums), but it makes a cool combo. Keyboards are great, wish I had sounds that good (all my organ samples suck). The spacier songs are nicely written, along with the heavier ones too.

Moved a few posts here - only one thread per band is the rule here.
Apart from that: if I read my post above and try to recall the music then I have a feeling this (Kaninhal och Marmelad, Hatmakarens Testund) is a lot heavier than what you posted before. I actually like it - but it's become more metal and less easy listening. Great keys work combined with (double?) bass drum. Well done - you're only getting better. Alice is a nice theme to work with - next up is a recap of the Hare that lost it's Spectacles perhaps? |

Oh, sorry, I totally forgot about that other thread. Yes, we have become quite alot heavier, our influences have changed quite abit this last year, we have all discovered the glory that is Hawkwind
Haha, doing the hare who lost his spectacles would be cool. but maybe a bit pointless, it's kind of prefected already
Thank you allvfor the nice comments Edited by Stars Die - May 08 2008 at 09:04 |
