You just made me cry! Two songs stand out for me; 1 prog, 1 pop: Sugar Mice (Marillion) Nothing compares 2U (Sinead o'Connor: the best single of all time of any genre!!)

"Mogwai Fear Satan" is almost there for me. A great example of how intense a single repeated musical phrase can be.
