Niagara, taking their name from the waterfalls I assume, have a nice and soft sound that I actually like a lot right now.  It's pretty good music.  As they say on their mypsace page, their music is highly influenced by the Prog Rock of the 70's but then they have modernized their sound due to equipment available and an influence from modern bands.  They bring good hope to those people stuck in the 70's Wink.

Edit: For a Bio, see Andea's post below this one.

Please Adrea maybe check over the poor translation for mistakes if you can, but for now it seems fairly correct.  Anyways, it's a cool band, although I'd like to hear them when their album comes out, I'd assume the recordings would sound even better.

The Niagara were formed in 2004, but the project as it is now only started taking shape in January 2006.  The first covers, then some original tracks and work on Italian lyrics...  The band plays progressive rock - not so much by choice, but as a natural necessity: 6 members, each with different studies and experiences, find in this style the right way for express themselves. The sound is a crucial component of the arrangement; they propose musical ideas that remind of  the prog movement of 70's, but interpreted with an original and updated sound (using samplers, synths, guitars and speakers invoice craft). After several changes of members during the years, the band seems now in 2007 to have found its definitive line-up. In these days, in addition to the live activity, Niagara are working on the release of their first album, La Virtù dell’Armaiolo, which is scheduled for the spring of 2008 (at the moment only some demo tracks are ready) .
