damn.... well if it helps.... I hereby pronounce July 30th as Pat Benatar day here at PA's.. I hate to see people's birthdays get ruined like that. don't think I'll forget either

Yeah, you should listen to some of the kids that live around me. They accept nothing other then DT, quite pathetic.

hahhaha... hell yeah.... I'd tell M@X at our next weekly lunch at his country club to set aside a week for her here at PA's where we can sing her... virtues.

Dream Theater Day what? On July 30th?
I know this is pretty old, but to be honest I just barely discovered this nice little thread, sub-topic area. Yay! Just wanted to mention something cool from the Mormon capitol of the world, none other than Utah, that we had a concert a few months back that blew off the eager ears of our fellow Utahn's. With opening bands 'Into Eternity' (terrible band) and 'Redemption' (great band), Dream Theater played an awesome show that us poor civilians hadn't witnessed in 7 years since the 2000 tour for Scenes From A Memory. Sadly, two years ago, Utah got canceled from the Octavarium tour leaving some depressed (myself included). This show they came back and blew the roof away on that wonderful July evening at the E-Center.
Redemption sadly didn't play such a great show. Two reasons: Ray Alder kept missing it cues and they didn't play Sapphire. The latter doesn't really apply, but it still made me sad. Into Eternity was just terrible, it was a slough of distortion and screaming I couldn't make out in the vast echoed hall of the E-Center. We were late to the concert so I luckily only saw the last two songs of the group.
Before the show however, Governor Huntsman came to the band and complimented them on their incredible skill and ability to create music of awesome talent in an awesome genre (often underestimated). In the state of Utah, July 30 was deemed Dream Theater day. Hooray!! And so that makes us happy here in this secluded state (secluded as in the fact that no progressive rock/metal bands come out to this desert)
Isn't that cool despite the fact that I should've posted this months ago!

I once was cool, but now I'm cold. Can you please turn up the heat.
