Both bands are listed here Erik. I think you'd enjoy Manning who are listed under Eclectic Prog here. Amaran's Plight are Prog Metal.

Never heard that band (Parallel...), but can borrow from a friend. What kind of stuff do they play, Erik?

Well Prog-jester, it's not easy to describe their sound, it sounds quite original and varied with wonderful keyboards (Keith Emerson inspired) and lots of dynamics, very special, I hope to review their video in the forthcoming weeks.

EDERA — And Mouth Disappears Review by Atkingani ("Guigo" A. Barros) Admin Group Site Admin & Moderator Thanks Goodness I knew nothing about this album and very few about EDERA when “And Mouth Disappears” hit my player… it was a jaw-breaking experience! These neat and glorious little surprises uplift my day among so many sorrowful news we have to face every time. Guigo, I will ask Progwalhalla Hans to deliver me this album,
sounds interesting, to say the least, obrigado!

I am on the brink of creating an Atkingani Appreciation Thread , first the Edera review and now this excellent review about William Gray, a band I added last year to Prog Archives and, in my opinion, belongs to the most adventurous and captivating progrock bands of the last decade, just read this:
WILLIAM GRAY — Living Fossils Review by Atkingani ("Guigo" A. Barros) Admin Group Site Admin & Moderator This album got me completely! I’ve been hearing WILLIAM GRAY’s “Living Fossils” at least once per week since 2007 began – it’s almost one entire year by now. My approach to this stunning work goes more in the direction that this Argentinean act made a rich and astonishing panel of everything we have seen/heard in the prog scene in the last 40 years. What's next Guigo ? Edited by erik neuteboom - December 23 2007 at 11:37 |

Thanks, Erik N... coming from you, a Review Master, it's a great encouragement to try doing things even better.
Anyway, check here:
The label "alternative" isn't fair for COURT, since they are Symphonic and worth to be heard. Edited by Atkingani - December 23 2007 at 11:44 |

I've got the William Gray cd, I like it but still not sure how to rate it. It's still growing on me, going towards 4 stars. Interesting band, I am curious for their next album.

So how it goes?
Erik and guys, here's the new recommendations from me - a new project emerged, lead by Oleg Anurin (vox, flute, kybds), who played with INFRONT. This project is called BATISFERA, there's a demo available FOR FREE, just let them know you want it, and they will send it to you. Highly recommended!!! Happy Holidayz to all!!! |

Igor, I remember Oleg very well, we met in Amsterdam in our favorite pub The Old Bell and we had a very nice chat. You can ask him to send the Batisfera CD to me, I a looking forward to these kind of musical projects because I was pleased with Infront their music. Thanks in advance |
