Here goes nothing:

1) Chris Squire
2) Geddy Lee
3) Jaco Pastorius
4) John Wetton
5) Roger Glover (Deep Purple)
6) Greg Lake
7) John Myung
8) Jeffrey Hammond (Jethro Tull)
9) Jack Bruce
10) John Paul Jones
11) John Deacon
12) Dave Hope (Kansas)
13) Tony Levin
14) Geezer Butler
15) John Entwhistle (Although I don't own an album of The Who)

I could go on.  The numbers don't truly mean anything.

Lemmy. Not the greatest bass virtuoso in the world  but I love his  playing in Hawkwind - it couldn't be better for that style of music, it locks in with the drums and propels the music into space.

Oh, and has anybody mentioned Hugh Hopper yet?

Oh man I just realized there's a pattern.  Ten points to whoever figures it out!

They're not from around here, are they boy? LOL

The pattern is of course they all played for Magma.

Ten points for Friede!

What's that?  Only collabs can distribute points?  Dammit.  Sorry Friede.

Ok, NOW I give Friede her points.  Oh, and she gets 5 bonus points for not mentioning that Moze was a member of GonG.

Jack Bruce.

The word progressive meant something different in the late 60s.  In this time Bruce progressed the role of the Bass guitarist more than anyone.
