Barack Obama or Bill Richardson are the only sane choices for president. Huckabee said he would let his faith influence his policies and Romney said we need faith as a nation. These are not moderate statements and they go directly against what the founding fathers wanted (especially Jefferson). Giuliani is George Bush 2.0 and would try to shove America even further down the world's throat. Hilary Clinton is obnoxious and I just feel there's something wrong with her, besides she's unelectable.

Obama is a terrible speaker and I get the feeling he would not be a competent leader...he can't even stand up to Hill-dog, and she's such an easy target. It's painful to watch.

on a different note: I can see that you're a bit of a lefty, Slart...I'm curious as to who you think is the strongest Democrat candidate so far. I kinda like Edwards, but I'm becoming more and more impressed with...Ron Paul (!) from the other side (there's a strange turn). |
Yeah, I'm so far left I'm right. Edwards is my favorite of the current top three. I'm afraid the Republicans will successfully play the Clinton/gender card in Hillary's case and the race/odd name card in Obama's. Plus those two are successfully holding down Senate seats and Edward's is out of office. I think Kucinich or Gravel would be excellent annoyances to the powers that be and need to be annoyed.

You're kidding, right? Actually the more interesting question for me would be who would I prefer be the Republican nominee? (weakest or most tolerable as president). Paul would be the most tolerable. I'll have to get back with you on weakest.

The scary thing is that I think we'll run out of Clintons before Bushes.

no I'm not kidding at all.. if you were a Republican adviser would you advise a candidate for national office they say or suggest something about, say, how as a woman Hillary wouldn't be able to handle making military decisions-- besides, it wouldn't float; Golda Meir, Thatcher, etc.
|
No not in public or directly. But you would have your subordinates, and other allies, Fox Noise, for example, make insinuations.

I actually saw Dennis on TV recently, he hasn't been funny since he went "conservative". And the bit I saw on Talk Soup was still not funny. If you think Fox is a joke, have you checked out their business channel? But Bill O'rally is still going strong...

...and within the next few weeks, we'll get to hear big bill talk about how the secular progressives want to destroy america with their "Happy Holiday" signs and fictitious stories of banned nativity scenes. If I had three stones to throw at anyone I wanted...

That was amazingly funny. Also what he says about religion is hilarious too. Schools are failing because Jesus isn't there to whip every kid in to shape. not to sound anti-religious but still... this makes no sense.
