Thanks Erik for your great work! If I wouldn't have heard Oaksenham on this great website I would never have bought them. I live in the USA so it's hard to find out about prog bands in Armenia! Thanks everyone for sharing their finds and adding great new music to this site! I may now have to go on the hunt for R-U Kaiser. Hope I can find being sold here. I see that Greg Walker and Syn-Phonic Music does not have it yet

Cronico-Delirium Room (new Mexican band with Magenta hints)
Newbreed-Child of the Sun (progmetal from Poland like Pain of Salvation)

Not really new or unknown, i got Rick Wakeman's Journey to the center of the earth last Progwalhalla meeting. Now this is quite an album, described as pretentious pompous and overblown it is in other words exactly as it should be. A truly enjoyable and memorable listening esperience.

Dirk, I played the DVD version yesterday, I was carried away by The Caped Crusader playing all those wonderful vintage keyboards like the Minimoogs, Hammond organ, Fender Rhodes electric piano, Mellotron and Hohner clavinet I am glad that lots of new lesser known and unknown bands also use those vintage keyboards like Ubi Maior, Nemo, Nexus, Black Bonzo, etc. unsurpassed sounds

There is a DVD from Journey? I certainly need to have it. That's a good list of bands you mention there Erik, don't know Black Bonzo yet.

Earlier today I read this; http://www.progarchives.com/Review.asp?id=154590
.
A band called Warm Dust, I never heard of that band, but because of another great review by Mr Trane I'm gonna look for that album for sure. In other words Hans will look for me . ( I hope ).

About Sean Trane, once I was the #2 in the most prolific reviewers competition, only a few hundred reviews behind him .... times, they are a changing

Was Lobster Newberg already discussed here? Varied, with many influences (someone called them retro-progressive in a discussion ). I got their CD in the mail today, and with the first track I was in Pink Floyd world. Later on other influences come in - and don't forget: they have an organ in some of the tracks (not a Hammond I think, but I'll check).
Their being prepared for inclusion in Eclectic here at PA. |

Well, just listened to the myspace songs from Lobster, they haven't made an impression yet. Those songs, I know, aren't telling the whole story........

Dutch Tony, I am more excited about bands that deserve an inclusion like Obscura, Neverness, Hobson's Choice, Yesterdays, Combination Head and recently R-U Kaiser. Since my reviews in this thread I got many positive reactions, thanks and I hope this will be a boost for fellow collaborators to add these bands to Prog Archives, good luck!
