It seems LTE is performing next June. Anyone else planning to make it to the show?

I'll be there. Hopefully, I won't be the only P.A. representative this time. It's well worth it. You get to see eight bands for a very reasonable price. The University has a gorgeous campus, and is nestled in in the mountains of Pennsylvania. You also get to meed some prog celebrities, and obtain prog art. Then there are the CD vendors. All of our favorite online sellers set up shop. That's where most of the expense comes into play.
Last it year it was worth it just to see Magma, but there was so much more. This year the big one is Banco, but I'm sure there will be other unexpected delights.

I'd really like to go, I have the money but not a car/license yet, better get on it some day. It would be neat to see some people from PA there (hopefully I won't be the only young one), I've talked about going there with some people but I'm not sure yet.
LTE will be nice, but I can't wait to see Banco, Koenjihykkaei (I know I misspelt that), Echolyn, and Discipline

Hopefully I'll be there as well. Here's my history. I went to the first five nonstop(99-03). I missed the next three(04-06)although I went to the pre shows in both 05 and 06. This year(07)I went to the whole thing for the first time since 03. It was good to be back. Anyway, I'm sure there will be lots of PA people there although that other website(;))seems to be mentioned more at prog festivals and have more prog representation eventhough PA has something like 10,000 more members. But yeah, this years lineup is turning out to be a good one eventhough they have had Banco and Echolyn in the past. This will be special because it will be their tenth anniversary. Only one prog festival(progday)has lasted longer.

Man I want to get out to one of these shows so bad but my parents just won't give in. I'll be driving by the 2009 festival, so maybe then. It would be nice to meet some PA members outside the forums

I was going to because the school calendar had my high school graduation the next week so I was totally going to go. Then, they went on about how there was no rain date and pushed it up a week. So that Sunday I have high school graduation. Hopefully I can get there for Saturday.

I declined the offer from my friend. LTE won't do a one off show unless it is played in New York...same for Dream Theater. 2nd I protest LTE because I feel their 'new' album and this 'one-off' show is the response for new material and a tour. Very upset.

I think Chad and Rob said it's going to be a three day event this year...with no solo spots...so I think that means...12 bands over all...unless the first day is still relegated to three acts...if that's the case...11 bands?

O.K. gang. The time is drawing near. Tickets go on sale Saturday morning. Let's have a real P.A. presence there this year. I will be there all three days. I especially call on our friends from the New England area. It's not that far to go. Just on the other side of the Pocanos. And how about our musician members who are also in the area? Anton Roolaart made it last year, and I hope he will return. John Fontana, are you in? How about you Dan Britton? So what do you say? Let's give Progressive Ears some real company this year.

If there are folks going, I might consider it, as I live in PA.
I should have gone last year when Magma and PRR were there.

Last year was really good, but surprisingly PRR was not one of the highlights. Magma alone was worth the price of festival. This year there is Banco and Discipline. I'm sure just those two will be worth it. However, there are many other acts. You should go. I was basically by myself last year, and had a great time.

Agreed on the Magma and Banco fronts...I'm trying to convince a few buddies of mine to come up too...but it's looking like I too will be going alone yet again.

Hey. I'll be there. We are going to have to coordinate so us P.A. people can get together. I just booked my room. So who else?

I got my tickets for all three nights this morning. I'm looking forward to seeing Fish and Liquid Tension Experiment the most, but am really looking forward to the general experience and all the other interesting bands.
