I'm only really familiar with 2 of the bands on your list.

I'm not really into 7 for 4. They're superb musicians, but 'Time' strikes me as a rather cold display of virtuosity for its own sake. I feel the same way about LTE, and Mats-Morgan (if you're familiar with them).

Le Silo, on the other hand, I think are an excellent band - you should really check out the Koenjihyakkei album Angherr Shisspa if you like them (same pianist, in one of Yoshida Tatsuya's many bands).
'Like so many of you
I've got my doubts about how much to contribute
to the already rich among us...'

Robert Wyatt, Gloria Gloom

Well 'Time' was not nearly as strong as 'Contact' IMO.  There's only one song on 'Time' that has made my Top 100 prog list (which is frequently updated) but I have the majority of songs from 'Contact' high up on that list.

They are releasing their third album in January.  I think I'm the only one who can't wait! LOL

*goes to check out Koenjihyakkei*

I concur, it really is nothing special.  The only LTE songs I really enjoy are from LTE2, specifically 'When The Water Breaks' and 'Biaxident'.  Other than that, their music gets old fast for me.

I'm surprised Le Silo has so many followers, I thought they were one of the least publicized bands in the list.  As for Oaksenam, does anyone know if they're releasing another album?! I haven't been able to track down anything and it would be a shame if they stopped after 'Conquest'!

Well, I haven't heard any of the bands mentioned yet, but I'm from Ontario! That's what counts, right? lol
What area are you from, by the way?

I'm from Stratford, it's between London and Kitchener, about 2 hours southwest of Toronto. You?

Cambridge! (Kitchener-Waterloo region)

I'll also throw out recommendations for Koenjihyakkei; they're one of my favourite modern bands.
