Could you try rephrase the question - I don't get it. Do you want to know how prog drives our mood, or vice versa?

most of the time I'm happy. Nut then at times I might get frustrated. those are my main emotions I guess. Frustration follows when my playlist has 4 Mew albums in a row and each song sounds worse than the one before. But at times listening to good stuff like the "P" section of my playlist gives me an almost orgastic feeling.

Recently I've been using music to squash the residues of the working day through my pores (so more hardcore & metal in my diet), what mood does that count for? Unhappy

Cheers Angelo........

The question is, mainly, how prog drives your mood, but you've firstly to pick how your persona is. To make it a bit clear, I made this poll to the purpose of knowing which mood tendence does the average proghead follows..... for curiosity Tongue

Right........... prog doesn't drive my mood - and as for myself, I guess I'm in the moody category for the same reason as Micky. Thumbs%20Up

Do The Neurotic by Genesis is one of those songs... Well, what shall I say? I now quite a bit of psychology, so I see quita a bit of neurotic behaviour in my own persona, but what I really would like is an euphoric state of mind Thumbs%20Up

Anyways I'm quite surprised with the results: firstly, proggers uses to be very moody..... but then, happiness is at the top Shocked Unexpected for me.......

I suffer with a mood disorder one thats likely to cause me to be stigmatized if I mention it  I( I know it will thats the truth)  I have been this way for years  ... so I`m moody lets just say .There's a prog band to suit every mood I get in  theres even some prog bands that go beyond the mood i'm in  to moods I can't even explain.

I guess the word would be "chill;" not really happy nor sad, simply in a state of unperturbed indifference.  It's really nice, actually.

I'm all over the place and in between at the drop of a hatWackoStern%20Smile; I guess you could say I'm usually striving for some kind of worry-free, self-induced euphoria when I listen to music and that leads me to put on something that fits my mood or maybe is the complete opposite if I'm unhappy and want to feel better.  I might add "nostalgic" to your list - I tend to be overly sentimental with music which accounts for my "seasonal" listening patterns:  certain bands only get played during Spring, Autumn, etc.

Right now I have Vanessa Simmons from BJH playin'...for some reason this one always makes me teary-eyed....those lyrics bring out some familiar feelings that I can't quite put a finger on.....Cry

now why did I say that?LOL I guess what I was getting at was that music helps clear the mind - I'm definately an escapist - like Erik said, you can forget about all the wars and politicians if only for an hour or two...the world is perfect for nowSmile

now I'm off for some self-induced euphoriaWink
