Topic: The Prog Archives 'Greatest' Prog Guitarists Posted: November 11 2007 at 19:09 |
Here's how this thread works:
Everyone will make an ordered list of who they think are the greatest guitarists in prog. Everyone defines greatness in their own way, whether it be a combination of technical skill or influence or whatnot. It will go from one to ten, for example:
1: Steve Hackett
2: Chuck Schuldiner
3: Steve Howe
4: David Gilmour
5: John McLaughlin
6: Al Di Meola
7: Mikael Akerfeldt
8: Andrew Latimer
9: Robert Fripp
10: Aaron Turner
10th place: 75 points
9th place: 85 points
8th place: 95 points
7th place: 105 points
6th place: 115 points
etc etc
You may only vote ONCE.
Once the thread slows down I will compile all the points.
