Great review Cham! Omega Massif is my second favirote instrumental band!

Irepress is so far the most straight forward prog metal bands I've heard so far.

Thanks man. Omega Massif are great, but I had some slight problems with them that kept me from liking them a lot. Still a wonderful band.

And are you sure about Irepress? They're one of the more complex bands in the Post-metal genre! Even Omega Massif are more straightforward than them. Ermm

^^ Irepress is a great band.  I would agree that they have a very complex sound.  Listening to Samus Octology right now.

By straight forward I mean that theyre songs are shorter and build MUCH faster, which of course isnt the trend in instrumental post metal. I will give them some more listens before I make a final judgement.

I'm listening to souvenirs young america right now. Weird name, but I am very impressed with the music.

Recently got their An Ocean Without Water released through Crucial Blast and liked it quite a lot (wasn't expecting much out of it).

They are more post rock than metal, but it's absolutely awesome!

Souvenir's are another great band. Their music is very atmospheric and even trippy at times. I have their debut, but I haven't heard their latest yet.

I wouldn't say Oceansize are post rock, but they do kick ass, their best album is Everyone into Position.

Jesu got added? Shocked

pretty cool

easily some of the heaviest stuff I've ever heard and yet the melodic vocals on top contrast it perfectly

EDIT: It seems I read wrong EmbarrassedOuch

still a good band though and I could see them under post-metal, though I was under the impression they got rejected

The Post-Rock team rejected Jesu, but I don't know about the Prog Metal team.

I didn't vote though...

If it's at a good price I would get it.I have it and Unter Null from Geisterstadt is on it but it has three other tunes that are pretty good.Just remember it's a demo, even though the production isn't bad,it's not as good as their debut.
