Topic: best Satellite album so far Posted: October 07 2007 at 11:15 |
The Polish neo prog band Satellite is releasing a new album in
November, to complete their trilogy of albums with themes around times
of the day. To me, they pick up where Collage left off in that
they are head and shoulders above any other neo prog band I have
heard. Please indicate which album of theirs is your favourite
and why? If their is enough interest we may follow up with
favourite songs too.

played both the CD's in this poll about five times each and theres no question that this is a good band but for some strange reason their music seems to go in one ear and out the other for me ... this is weird since I always think of them as being very good neo prog but I can never remember anything about them ... can't vote but I will check out the new CD when its released .. I enjoy Satellite even though I can't remember much about them. I think Marillion are the kings of neo prog and IQ also Sylvan are mostly pretty strong I'd say Satellite are in the big Ten though

I really like A Street Between Sunrise and Sunset, which I recently purchased along with a couple of Collage albums. Evening Games is on my wishlist but as of yet I have not heard it. Thus I can't vote.

I prefer Evening Games. Both are good, but some of the lyrics on Street bug me a little.

I love both but prefer Evening Games, more because I really like some
of the lyrics than because I dislike those on "Street". I also
love the way they bring back the Evening Games theme in different forms
on several songs. Plus I thought, while Street's best songs might
be better than those on Evening, Street has a couple of weak songs (I'm
not Afraid, Children) which Evening does not

"A Street..." for me. Great song "On The Run" with superb Maciek Meller's (from Quidam) guitar solo.
