I did not create a poll because there are so many to choose from and I'm afraid I would've left one out and upset someone.

As of right now my favorite is his solo in Kid Gloves, it gets me every time...

That's difficult. I like the Freewill solo, because It's almost like its 15 years ahead of its time.

Freewill by far. That has to be one of the greatest solos of all time.

Lifeson is an average pentatonic playing classic rock guitar player. I think we overblow his talent way me then what it really is!

La villa strangiato, probably one of his best for such a poor range.

Please stop using that word. Basically, what you just did right there was this:

SHAX: I like this song.
FLOYDIAN: Yeah, me too.
LUCENT: No, you two don't like it, because it isn't actually that good, really. My opinions are fact, and you two are simply wrong.

Insulting.

I've heard very little of Alex Lifeson's work (Moving Pictures, 2112, and Hemispheres, and I haven't listened to each more than a few times), but from what I've heard, his solos on Anesthetize and YYZ are excellent.  I'll have to listen to more of his work.

And I agree with Shakespeare, I don't like the use of "overrated" too much, it sounded very arrogant there.

I've no idea about his pentatonic playing but I've also found his solos very original. One of his good solos is at the end of "DIfferent Strings" but it fades out too soon.
The one at the end of "Xanadu" is a classic.

Jacobs Ladder. I read somewhere that one of his favorites was Chemistry. Ho can anyone say he is overrated. I think he is underappreciated .
